《The Relic of the Crimson Hunter》
In the late 19th century, British explorer William Hart discovered an abandoned hunter’s cabin deep in the Canadian Rockies. Above the fireplace hung a dagger, its blade crafted from synthetic red obsidian, gleaming like fresh blood; the handle was carved from natural antler, warm and wild to the touch. The dagger, about 25-27 centimeters long, bore ancient runes that seemed to whisper a forgotten tale.
An elderly local hunter told him the dagger was called Crimson Oath, once belonging to a legendary hunter known as Crimson Moon. On a full moon night, Crimson Moon had battled a massive white wolf, driving the dagger into its heart. The wolf’s blood stained the blade, and Crimson Moon vanished that night. Legend held that the dagger could absorb moonlight, granting the wielder unmatched hunting prowess—but at the cost of fulfilling Crimson Moon’s unfinished mission: to find the wolf’s descendant and end its curse.
William brought the dagger back to London, but soon he began dreaming of a wolfskin-clad hunter, standing under a blood-red moon, the dagger in hand. On one full moon night, William raised the dagger toward the window. The blade glowed crimson, and the antler handle quivered as if alive. He saw the phantom of a white wolf, growling softly, “Find me. Fulfill Crimson Moon’s oath.”
Today, the dagger sits in a corner of the British Museum, labeled as a “19th-century North American artifact.” Yet, on every full moon, guards hear faint wolf howls echoing through the halls, as if someone is murmuring about an unfulfilled oath.
